The launching was officially done by the Hon. Acting President of UNA Fiji Hon. Mr. Shivneet Kumar and the Deputy Public Affairs Officer of U.S. Embassy Hon. Mr. Will Romine.

On behalf of UNA Fiji members, Mr. Kumar thanked the U.S. Embassy for their support. "First and foremost, we would like to reiterate on appreciation of the United States embassy partnering with the UNA Fiji in this journey to create the leaders of tomorrow".

Mr. Romine commended UNA Fiji for its hard work and initiatives to promote leadership development through the Art of Diplomacy.

On 2 November 2022, UNA Fiji received US$14,000 through U.S. Embassy's Public Diplomacy Small Grants. The money will be used to conduct BDTP 2023 which will help participants develop their research, writing, and public speaking skills, while also engaging them in service projects to help those in need.

Out of 32 grant applications received by the U.S. Embassy, only 3 organizations received the funding and UNA Fiji is one of the organizations.
