Mr. Shivnesh Ram completes the Generational Change Fellows Program

We are thrilled to share the remarkable journey of a member from the United Nations Association of Fiji. Mr. Shivnesh Ram who recently completed the Generational Change Fellows Program, a transformative initiative led by the United States Institute of Peace. Over the course of 5 intensive days, these emerging leaders immersed themselves in a rich tapestry of learning, exploring vital topics such as peacebuilding, negotiation dynamics, and conflict resolution strategies.

Participants delved into the intricate layers of societal dynamics, examining various forms of prejudice, navigating the pyramid of hate, and unraveling the complex cycle of socialization. They charted their personal narratives through the river of life, honed the art of effective communication through the theory of listening and active listening techniques, and honed their analytical skills with the conflict analysis framework.

Moreover, they dived into the intricacies of negotiations, understanding the pyramid of alliances and mastering the craft of persuasive storytelling. Each lesson, exercise, and discussion was a stepping stone towards fostering a new generation of visionary leaders equipped to tackle the challenges of our time.

With 26 passionate participants from diverse backgrounds across the Pacific, this program not only symbolizes individual growth but also signifies a collective commitment to fostering peace, understanding, and collaboration in our region.

A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the facilitators for their dedication in bringing such invaluable training to the Pacific, paving the way for a brighter, more harmonious future!
