The day-long conference aimed to challenge and promote the role of multidisciplinary relevant stakeholders in working towards addressing issues holistically and delivering a safer, secure, smarter, and sustainable future for all concerned. The MDC aspired to challenge the participants and panelists to share realistic issues and also offer solutions as opposed to talking about the problem only. The central theme “Speak Up and Be Heard” focused on creating a smarter and connected Pacific. As a whole, this conference offered a platform for young people to deliberate on priority issues such as cyber-crime, psychological health, youth empowerment and participation, and so forth. This significantly helped them develop solutions that matter most from a holistic perspective.
