The 52nd Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Board of Governors was held from 1-5 May 2019.

The meeting was attended by Finance ministers, central bank governors, government officials, private sector representatives, development partners, youth, as well as members of the academe, civil society, and media from Asia and the Pacific, as well as around the world.

The ADB 2019 marks the first time a Pacific developing member country will host ADB’s largest annual gathering, providing ADB Governors an opportunity to discuss important and pressing development issues facing Asia and the Pacific. The theme for this year’s event is “Prosperity Through Unity.”

FMUNS was also present during this meeting and participated as a delegate through Mr. Mohammed Al-Dousary who during the meeting was the youngest delegate. At 17 years old Mr. Al-Dousary did some great interventions on the topic of Agriculture and Farming. He was also got the opportunity to meet the ADB President and participate in various CSO forums.

Summing up his experience Mr. Al-Dousary stated that “he shall forever be reminded of the experience and knowledge imparted to us by the remarkable people we have encountered in the event”.
