3rd NGL Breakfast

3rd Next Generational Leadership (NGL) Breakfast with David. In partnership with Brot für die Welt, IFP - International Forum of National NGO Platforms, and #Action4SD.

Held on 18 August 2018 at Cafe 30, Suva, Fiji.

Opened with a Word of Prayer by Mr. Fenton Lutunatabua of 350.org.

The purpose of this breakfast series is to inspire and empower young CSO leaders to pursue a life of servitude to humanity. This was amplified by keynote speaker His Excellency Mr. David Teaabo, High Commissioner of the Republic of Kiribati to Fiji.

This was also a celebration of a fellow CSO leader joining the diplomatic community. His Excellency formerly served as the deputy director of the Kiribati Association of Non-Governmental Organisations - KANGO - an NLU of PIANGO.

This was followed by a very constructive discussion with participants.

The Executive Director of PIANGO, Ms. Emele Duituturaga, also announced the Commonwealth Foundation project for Kiribati.

Beginning October, to be carried out in partnership with KANGO. Ms. Duituturaga acknowledged and thanked #CFgrants for their generosity in helping realise a very important project.

The second half of the program was #VNR and #HLPF2018 updates and key lessons learnt. This panel was moderated by Ms. Duituturaga.

Panelists included Ms. Vani Catanasiga, Executive Director, Fiji Council Of Social Services (FCOSS). Ms. Amasai Jeke, Programme Officer, Rainbow Pride Foundation 4 LGBTQ Rights and Equality in Fiji. Ms. Alanieta Vakatale, Team Leader, Raising Pacific Voices at Oxfam in the Pacific

This was followed by vigorous feedback and comments from participants.

Vote of Thanks: Ms. Shresta Dutt.
