Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) Signing Between Pacific Island Development Forum (PIDF) & United Nations Association Of Fiji (Una Fiji)

A major step towards further strengthening the bonds between Pacific Island Development Forum (PIDF) and United Nation Association (UNA) Fiji was supported when a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two organisations at PIDF on Friday, 10 June 2022.

“We want to do projects with dignity, rather than charity,” Founder and President of UNA Fiji, Mr. Akmal Ali stated during his address to the representatives and witnesses of UNA Fiji and PIDF.

The partnership made will develop benefits where youths will be mobilised by UNA Fiji in areas of development from PIDF. The formalising of this collaboration will also allow both organisations to officially participate in events and initiatives in the area of sustainable development in Fiji.

Before formalising a collaborative partnership on Friday, UNA Fiji and PIDF had worked closely together in past initiatives such as during UNA Fiji’s two Community Impact Projects for 2021 in Lami and Wainidova despite the challenges imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

We look forward to creating more active citizens in the future through this partnership by encouraging Fijian communities to participate in gaining ownership and pride of their beloved Island State and Pacific region.

With Class, Dignity and Elegance-
